This course helps students gain confidence in the field of electronics.
Most students lack a working knowledge of electricity and electronics. They are unable to tinker, or diagnose and fix simple household problems.
Without this knowledge, young adults are forced to pay thousands of dollars for residential remodeling projects.
This course is designed to give students a basic understanding of electronic theory and electronic components. Students will learn how to build a simple radio, amplifier, and a transmitter.
Students will walk away from this course with confidence and will be encouraged to continue learning.
Also, students will learn how to communicate across the world via amateur radio. And they will prepare for a Technician class radio license which will allow them to contact other amateur radio operators on the air.
This knowledge can translate to other avenues such as talk radio, which can become a rewarding and high-paying career, or electrical and engineering careers.
The electronic field rewards those who take early initiative. Inventors and innovators rely on divergent knowledge gained during childhood. One inventor used his knowledge of electronics and fiber optics to invent a device for hospitals.
Even if your student decides not to become an engineer, the most effective leaders and strategists, like the great Winston Churchill, know how things work in lots of fields.
